So where did she cut her design teeth? In advertising and design studios around Melbourne, where she dabbled in all manner of creative disciplines. Good typography became her thing. This stemmed from early beginnings in magazines, together with a gig redesigning Melbourne’s broadsheet newspaper, The Herald-Sun and later as a team member creating the artwork for every item of signage at Parliament House in Canberra - and we mean every item… from the inlaid brass letters in the forecourt granite, to those lovely little square glass signs outside the MP’s offices. Oh the joy of being paid to tell politicians where to go!
