the brief:

This job was a two in one; the first job was to create a logo for a film company whose focus is making raw, real, heart-felt films. The brief for this component was to design a logo to reflect this by including a heart.

The second part of the job was to create visual branding for the current film they were making – Scattered People.

The Solution:

It immediately made sense to us to implement a section of analogue film into the logo design. We initially implemented a heart however it appeared a tad contrived so we explored the same design with the letter R and saw that if we removed the vertical ascender, the design referenced the right side of a heart as well as an R. Voila, that part of the job was done.

The second part was to create an identity from stills within the film to apply to all the film’s marketing collateral.

The client loved the result of both and provided ongoing work over the past 3 to 4 years.
