the brief:
The business is named after the client’s beloved dog Big Merv so top priority was to feature said hound in the logo. The design also needed to appeal to a broad demographic and convey the beachy feel of this Byron Bay coffee cart.
the solution:
First we made friends with Merv - all 74kg’s of him, the brainchild of parents Great Dane & Bull Mastif.
We began with a graphic representation of Merv which fortuitously aligned with the proposed base colours of coffee brown and milk white/cream. Secondary complimentary colours were then incorporated to complete the brands colour palette and fulfill a beachy, vintage vibe.
With the logo finalised we explored suitable timber panel backgrounds to apply to the trailer and pull the visual brand together, giving it a coffee/beach shack feel.

The Result:
The brand nailed the brief. Merv got to be showcased amidst a Byron beachy vibe appealing to coffee loving locals and visitors alike.
