the brief:

ELYSIUM is an emmersive laneway street art experience born out of a partnership between Creative Road and Byron Shire Council. The project was a collaboration with artists to transform an unattractive Byron Bay CBD laneway using bold contemporary art, turning a generic service thoroughfare into a vibrant space with a unique identity.

The organisers were looking for a logo to reflect the concept of contemporary art meeting the nature and light of Byron Bay.

the solution:

By using a broad colour pallet for the main logo we reflected the ‘rainbow region’ of Byron Bay. The font selected gives a contemporary feel and the mirror images within the logo highlight the flexibility and movement behind the project concept.

the result:

A highly flexible logo working in full colour, mono and outline created a vehicle across a range of media and promotion. Highly recognisable, the edgy contemporary logo sits well both in Street art and mainstream art circles.
