the brief:
With her new product of Good Sheet plant-based laundry sheets, the client wanted to convey her environmental passion of cleaning our oceans by removing plastics, which is exactly what her product does. The brief was to convey the seriousness of maintaining clean crisp oceans while also taking a fun playful approach. She also requested a whale and oceany colours to be incorprated into the design.
the solution:
The cheeky name of Good Sheet allowed me to get a bit ‘loose’ with the design, opting for relaxed lines and a hand drawn feel to mirror nature and earthiness. Whilst environmental issues are a serious matter, I also wanted to promote a playfulness and sense of fun in caring for the planet. Enter the whale, embodying joyfulness in every splash, these graphic elements are strong representations of the ocean, which is also reflected in the launch product colour palette of blue and teal.
Further extension of the product line introduced a more vibrant colour palette.
Recyclable Kraft paper for the packaging conveyed the earthy, environmental and ‘no plastics’ message.
