mad panda media and me

mpm: we are on the lookout for a fulltime graphic designer to join the Mad Panda media team and I had your records on file and thought I would touch base.

pm: hmm, interesting…and timely to say the least

pm: I’m definitely interested, however I live in Byron Bay and wonder if remote work is a deal breaker? I’d be happy to visit the office for meetings and the odd day here and there but daily commuting does not turn me on – I left Melbourne to avoid all of that.

mpm: Not ideal, but certainly not a deal breaker. Could you please send me through some examples of your latest work please.

pm: Yes – this website contains heaps of work, however below are links to six clients I have been working with most recently

Therese Toohey Professional Freedom

Sockfort

Good Sheet

Worth

Logan Hyperdome Chiropractic Centre

Shuck Oyster Purveyors

My website is pretty extensive so you might be wondering why I’m interested in a full time gig?

Because:

Therese’s work is complete as of mid last year
Sockfort ran out of money (although I hear they may have an investor)
Good Sheet has just sold
Worth have had me quote on a few things none of which have come off
LHCC only have small things here and there
Shuck Oysters were impacted by covid and have since closed

In a nutshell, my prime sources of income have dried up!

And when a quality business alerts me they’re looking for a designer, my interest piqued immediately…and digits were crossed the role could be remote.

So, if you have a good snoop around my website you’ll get a gist of who I am and the standard of my work and then maybe, just maybe, you’ll want to talk further.

If you need to know more, you can also check me out here although I’m not very active there, I’m better here and don’t get me started with fb, I hate it more than a change in scope mid project.

One last thing, if you give me some consideration it will allow me to maintain my champagne habit. With the current status, I’m having to resort to cheap Aussie sparkling… is there anything worse?

Seriously though, freelance work always ebbs and flows and the ebb has gone on way too long.

Warmly,
